Flood history changes what an assessment looks for
Remediation is not permit-heavy, so the LFUCG floodplain record functions as a history. A parcel inside a mapped zone, or with a record of previous intrusion, changes what an assessment should search for — contamination inside cavities from an earlier event rather than only visible growth. Karst groundwater can also deliver moisture to a structure from a source some distance away.

Separate past intrusion from present moisture
Citywide records cannot tell you whether your property has taken water, what is inside the cavity, or what is keeping material damp now. Establish history with LFUCG and the current source with an assessor who does not sell the removal.
